Summary

Took a blank-slate dating concept to a live product. Owned the full stack: product positioning, UI/UX, the technical build, and the organic growth work that filled the waitlist.

What I built

  • Product positioning, UI/UX, and the visual brand identity.
  • The full technical build, from blank repo to a live product.
  • An organic content and community pipeline that grew the pre-launch waitlist past 1,000 users.

What was hard

Scoping. The temptation on a concept-to-launch build is to keep layering features in parallel; the discipline that made the project work was holding the line on the smallest useful version.

What's next

The product is live and the waitlist converted into real users. The work I would still do here is on retention, which is the part of a dating product that earns its keep or does not.

What I learned

Shipping the smallest useful version of an idea is how you earn the right to keep building it.
